Ruthie is the one in front. Her sister, Tommy Muffin is in the dish.
Ruthie had been sick for some time. A vet we took her too misdiagnosed her and we didn't realize it until almost too late. We took her to another vet who correctly diagnosed her and put her on special meds.
Ruthie was doing great on the new meds and was actually gaining weight. This afternoon I noticed that she seemed a bit lethargic. I picked her up and held her for almost an hour. She purred and just seemed sleepy. Bob had talked about calling the vet in the morning just to make sure something else needed to be looked at.
This evening, we gave her some special food and shortly afterward she went into a seizure and died.
Bob, bless his heart, tried CPR, but to no avail. We are not sure what happened but I am thankful she went quick.
We did our best to keep her going and we were with her all the way.
Life goes on though. We have other kitties to care for.
